Stallfed goat rearing, the scheme which was under negative list, has since been revived on finding that it is as an alternate activity for agriculture in rainfed areas, which provided employment opportunity in rural areas. The proposals for stallfed goat rearing may be encouraged for a flock of minimum 100 gats in rainfed areas. NABARD prepared a Model Project which is annexed to Cir.No.AGR/2005-06/52 Dt. 08.02.2006.
